Health security in 2022 at the Australian Open, Australian Grand Prix and Anzac Day events.
The COVID-19 pandemic caused disruption to every aspect of society and due to grave health implications, put many of Australia’s largest cultural events on hold.
When resumed, events such as the Australian Grand Prix, Australian Tennis Open and overseas celebrations of Anzac Day needed to navigate a range of government requirements including travel restrictions and quarantine, along with strict lockdown protocols that still existed in some locations. Such restrictions presented unique challenges and required extensive planning for the safe operation of these events for patrons and to reduce the risk of their cancellation.
Throughout 2022, Aspen Medical Advisory Services partnered with organisations such as the Australian Grand Prix Corporation (AGPC), Tennis Australia and the Department of Veterans’ Affairs (DVA) to deliver large public events both in Australia and overseas.
In each case we worked closely with the client to develop protocols and put measures in place to mitigate risks to the event owners, participants, international travelers and local communities. We provided a range of services, including planning, guidance and protocols, clinical and logistics support, PPE and testing facilities.
Working closely with our clients allowed thousands of Australians and international guests to enjoy a series of large, international events in a safe public environment.
