The Aspen Medical Foundation is inviting applications for its inaugural Fiji Disability Scholarship. The scholarship will support a Fijian person living with disability to pursue a health-related university qualification.

The scholarship is designed to help remove financial barriers to tertiary education while creating opportunities for people living with disability to build meaningful careers in Fiji’s health sector.

The scholarship provides financial assistance towards tuition fees as well as study-related expenses and ongoing support throughout the recipient’s studies.

Aspen Medical Disability Inclusion Lead Ben Clare said the scholarship reflected the Foundation’s commitment to creating greater opportunity and inclusion.

“People living with disability have an enormous contribution to make to healthcare. This scholarship is about helping remove some of the barriers to education and giving someone the opportunity to build a career where they can make a real difference to their community.”

Applications are open to people living with disability who reside in Fiji and meet the entry requirements for and have been accepted into or are eligible to enrol in, a health-related course at a recognised university in Fiji. Eligible fields include nursing, medicine, public health, allied health, health administration and other healthcare-related qualifications.

Applications for the 2027 scholarship close on 15 November 2026.
