Michelle is an accomplished senior legal executive, having developed extensive experience from her previous roles across private practice, in-house legal roles, and the federal government. Over the last five years at Aspen Medical, she has been pivotal in steering the organisational strategic planning, risk management, regulatory and legal compliance, and corporate governance.
Before entering the legal field, Michelle completed a Bachelor of Science in Architectural Engineering in the US and worked for ten years as a structural engineer on projects across Texas, Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Delaware.
Michelle completed her Juris Doctor degree from Temple University in Philadelphia in 2006. During her studies, she completed an internship in patent law before relocating to Australia in 2011. She is currently a registered lawyer in both Australia and the USA.

Inspired by the strong and compassionate women in his life, and with assistance from an Aspen Medical Foundation scholarship, proud Mandandanji and Kamilaroi Aboriginal man Matt Maley hopes to motivate other First Nations people to pursue a career in healthcare.
