The Aspen Medical Foundation has announced the launch of its Fiji Disability Scholarship which will support individuals living with a disability in Fiji to pursue a career in healthcare. This initiative is designed to remove financial barriers and empower students to make a meaningful contribution to their communities through health-related professions.

Our Disability Inclusion Lead, Ben Clare, presented two new Braillers to Lautoka School for Special Education in Fiji, bringing the total number donated by Aspen Medical to the school to three. The machines will support five visually impaired students, giving them greater access to braille and the opportunities that come with literacy, learning and independence.

The Aspen Medical Foundation is proud to support Queensland's only lung cancer research vehicle, bringing advanced early detection research to regional and remote communities. The initiative will improve access to potentially life-saving screening technologies, with a strong focus on rural, remote and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities.

Julie O’Brien is a proud Aboriginal woman from the Yulluna People of Northwest Queensland and is currently studying for a degree in social work, with the support of a scholarship from the Aspen Medical Foundation.
