Aspen Medical, in partnership with the Canberra Business Chamber, has announced the launch of a mentoring program for Canberra-based businesses exporting to the world from Australia’s capital city.

Sixty-six health professionals and supporting team were awarded the Humanitarian Overseas Service Medal by His Excellency General the Honourable David Hurley AC DSC (Retd), Governor-General of the Commonwealth of Australia, at a ceremony held at Government House on Thursday, 05 September 2019.  The medal is presented to those who perform humanitarian service in a foreign country, in particular those working in dangerous environments or during a humanitarian crisis.

Australian Government awards two contracts to Aspen Medical subsidiaries to support the rural and remote healthcare workforce across Australia

The Federal Government’s Department of Health has awarded 3-year contracts to Aspen Medical subsidiaries, Remote Area Health Corps (RAHC) and the Rural Locum Assistance Program (Rural LAP), to provide support to the rural and remote health workforce across Australia. 

Partnership with Aspen Medical allows Collinson continue global medical assistance expansion

Aspen Medical signs contract to manage two hospitals over the next two decades as part of Fiji’s public-private partnership

In November 2018 the Government of Fiji announced Aspen Medical as the successful Selected Bidder for the provision of health services under a Public Private Partnership arrangement. The 23-year contract was signed on 17 January 2019, at a ceremony at Ro Lalabalavu House in Suva. 

Aspen Medical named Australian Exporter of the Year 2018

Aspen Medical was named as the joint winner of the Exporter of the Year at the 56th Australian Export Awards which were held in Canberra on 27 November 2018. The company also picked up the award in the Health & Biotechnology category on its way to the overall award.

Aspen Medical hands over final hospital to the Iraqi Ministry of Health

Aspen Medical's 15 months in Iraq supporting the people of Mosul at several trauma field hospitals and maternity units formally came to an end on 23 May 2018 when the final hospital was handed over to the Iraqi Minstry of Health. Since March 2017 the company has been providing services on behalf of the World Health Organization (WHO) and the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA).

Aspen Medical has achieved company-wide ISO 9001:2015, the world’s most widely recognised quality management system standard. The company has been achieving ISO 9001 standard across its individual projects and head office for a decade but this new company-wide standard is even more stringent.
