The Australian Institute of Medical Scientists (AIMS) Qld Branch & Tropical Division Chair Ms Anne Marie Christensen and Dr Donna Rudd jointly announced the winners of the AIMS Medical Science Awards for Queensland to recognise and celebrate the excellence of people working in the Medical Science profession at an event in Brisbane on 14 July.

The overall winner was our colleague Glen Lynch who heads up the Aspen Medical laboratory in Solomon Islands where the company has been providing services to the Australian Federal Police and other Commonwealth employees since 2004 under the Regional Assistance Mission to Solomon Islands (RAMSI). 

Glen was nominated by current and past colleagues as they considered him to be a "fantastic mentor" and a "legend when it comes to running labs in remote places". High praise indeed!
