In a move to address the rising complexity of global health and safety challenges, Australian-based companies Aspen Medical and World Travel Protection have entered into an agreement to combine their expertise, offering a complete travel risk management and health solution for domestic and international markets.

Aspen Medical’s innovative healthcare solutions have seen the company become one of the leading healthcare providers in remote, challenging or under-resourced settings across the globe. The company’s services include but are not limited to medical workforce solutions, managing clinics and hospitals, aeromedical retrievals, occupational health and 24/7 bespoke medical telehealth assistance.

World Travel Protection is renowned for its dedication to providing expert travel risk management services, including medical and security emergency assistance, for business and leisure travellers before, during and after they travel.

Al Martin, Aspen Medical’s Chief Partnership Officer, has welcomed the collaboration with World Travel Protection, “Together we can provide a single contracted heath, risk and security solution wherever our customers need us.”

This in-depth understanding of local medical risks will benefit the travellers World Travel Protection supports throughout their Command Centres worldwide – as many as 250,000 travellers a month during peak season. This is additional to the global risk monitoring that occurs 24/7 with World Travel Protection’s Travel Assist technology that notifies travellers of any relevant risks that arise whilst abroad.

Adrian Leach, Chief Executive Officer of World Travel Protection, emphasised the benefits of the agreement:

“This partnership represents a powerful synergy. By combining World Travel Protection’s extensive expertise in travel risk management and security with Aspen Medical’s healthcare delivery capabilities, we’re setting a new benchmark for integrated health and safety solutions. Our customers can now benefit from a seamless service that ensures they are protected, no matter where they are in the world.”

“By leveraging our combined expertise, we aim to ensure organisations and individuals have access to the care and support they need, no matter the location or circumstances,” he said.

The agreement became effective in September 2024 and lasts for a period of three years.
