The Aspen Medical Foundation is proud to announce that Miss Emma Scarce has been awarded the inaugural Dr Lowitja O’Donoghue Scholarship through the Lowitja O’Donoghue Foundation. Aspen Medical Foundation has funded $45,000 for two enrolled nursing scholarships in the name of Dr Lowitja O’Donoghue.

Making a difference at her home away from home
Aspen Medical Nurse Practitioner Karla Dickson feels just as much at home in the red dust of Karratha’s surrounds, in remote Western Australia, as she does in the hustle and bustle of the capital city. The first is her work base, a modern accommodation village close to a new gas construction project, where she helps make a difference not only for the workers on the project but also in the local community. The second is her home back in Perth, with family.

The Indonesian Government today officiated the beginning of construction of Aspen Medical’s International Hospital in Depok. Initiated by Sanusa Medika, a joint venture company between Aspen Medical and Dr Andrew Rochford's Docta in collaboration with West Java State-Owned Enterprise PT Jasa Sarana, this Aspen Medical hospital is the first international standard healthcare facility in Depok, West Java, an Indonesian province of more than 50 million people.

Aspen Medical has appointed Fijian citizen Gavin Whiteside as Acting Chief Executive Officer of its operations in Fiji. This appointment follows the resignation of Annette Owttrim, who has stepped down to spend more time with her family in Western Australia.
