The new Aspen Medical private healthcare clinic was formally opened on Tuesday, 25 November 2014.
The clinic will provide a range of healthcare services, including primary healthcare, 24/7 emergency healthcare (including house calls and road ambulance), a low-dependency ward, medical imaging, pathology and pre-employment medicals.
According to Glenn Keys AO, Executive Chair of Aspen Medical, “We are very excited to be back in PNG once again. Previously we had been here to assist in managing the Cholera outbreak in 2010 but it is nice to be back for a long haul. We have been working for many years in the Solomon Islands supporting our clients there with a fully-equipped mobile hospital and our Aspen Medical clinic will ensure that PNG benefits from that world-class capability."
The clinic is non-exclusive and offers competitive pricing with differing access levels for corporate clients and individuals supported by medical insurance policies. Services are also being extended to the general public where financial fee-for-service criteria have been met at the time of presentation.
Aspen Medical has been operating in Papua New Guinea since 2009.
