Ba Hospital has taken a significant leap forward with the addition of a Computer Tomography (CT) scanner, which will greatly benefit patients from Ba, Tavua, and the neighbouring areas of Rakiraki.

Aspen Medical General Manager in Fiji Dr Rigamoto Taito said, “This will be the first CT located at a sub-divisional hospital. It will provide access to more advanced treatment and diagnostic services and significantly improve clinical outcomes for patients in the region.”

Dr Rigamoto added, “The Ba CT scanner could effectively fill in for any downtime at Lautoka Hospital, avoiding unnecessary delays in diagnosis and treatment.”

The GANTRY GE Revolution 128 multi-slice machine offers our clinicians optimum image quality to help them reach their diagnoses. The new machine uses an AI-based workflow solution and has a smart user interface, cutting-edge technology, and access to smart subscriptions to substantially simplify, streamline, and automate the entire CT experience inside and outside the scan room.

Superintendent Medical Imaging Technologist Osea Vatulawa said, “The inclusion of this modality also supports our clinicians in guiding treatment plans and monitoring disease progression, enabling swift and accurate diagnosis for patient management.”
