The Department of Defence has extended Aspen Medical’s contract to deliver the ‘Care of Battle Casualties’ training course to all Australian Defence Force (ADF) personnel deploying to the Middle East until 31 December 2016.

The aim of this training is to ensure that all ADF personnel on operations are confident in their ability to provide immediate response healthcare in the deployed environment.  The training is being undertaken at a facility in the United Arab Emirates by Aspen Medical health professionals with recent combat experience.  To date, over 5500 ADF, Commonwealth and civilian personnel have received this crucial, life-saving training. This contract builds on our proven domestic and international Defence health expertise and trusted medical support for Defence personnel.

In Australia, we are proud to provide health services to 80,000 ADF personnel across 52 Defence bases through our Defence On-Base Health Services (DOHS).  We also provide health services to the ADF on exercises and deployments.  This contribution to the health and wellbeing of the nation’s Defence personnel has seen the company recognised by the Federal Government as an important company in the Defence space.
