Aspen Medical has achieved company-wide ISO 9001:2015, the world’s most widely recognised quality management system standard. The company has been achieving ISO 9001 standard across its individual projects and head office for a decade but this new company-wide standard is even more stringent.
Aspen Medical is among the few organisations to achieve this landmark on its first attempt as a company-wide certification. ISO 9001:2015 defines ways to achieve, as well as benchmark, consistent performance of products and service provision.
Bruce Armstrong, Aspen Medical Group CEO, said “This new company-wide certification marks a decade of a continuous commitment to quality. We know that many companies fail on their first attempt at this higher level of ISO certification so we are delighted to have hit the mark at our first attempt.
“Our entire team is passionate about delivering quality healthcare where it is needed globally and those who support them are equally as passionate. This award means that no matter where we are working our customers can be confident that we are delivering a quality system.”
Vinod Gandhi, Aspen Medical’s Quality Manager, has led the company’s quality quest since 2009.
According to Vinod the new standard is more stringent, requires deeper and longer audits, has a focus on risk-based thinking, an evidence-based decision making approach and a greater emphasis on leadership and accountability.
