Since 2014, the Aspen Medical Foundation has been providing scholarships to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students to further their career and knowledge in Indigenous health.

The scholarships are valued at up to $12,000 per annum and can assist a student with HECS loans, university accommodation assistance, tutoring and textbooks.

We currently offer scholarships in health-related tertiary studies, including: 

  • nursing
  • midwifery
  • dentistry, dental science or dental surgery 
  • psychology
  • social work 
  • medicine or surgery 
  • physiotherapy 
  • pharmacy 
  • radiography 
  • podiatry 
  • sonography
  • speech pathology
  • paramedicine  
  • dietetics. 

Criteria

In order to qualify for a scholarship, the following criteria must be met.

  • Student must identify as Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander. 
  • Students must have enrolled and been accepted into one of the health-related tertiary studies listed above.
