Since 2014, the Aspen Medical Foundation has been committed to advancing Indigenous health education by offering scholarships to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students. These scholarships support students pursuing careers in various health disciplines by alleviating financial pressures and enhancing academic opportunities.
Scholarship benefits
Each scholarship is valued at up to $12,000 annually, covering:
- HECS loans
- university accommodation
- tutoring services
- textbooks.
Areas of study
We currently offer scholarships in health-related tertiary studies, including:
- nursing
- midwifery
- dentistry, dental science or dental surgery
- psychology
- social work
- medicine or surgery
- physiotherapy
- pharmacy
- radiography
- podiatry
- sonography
- speech pathology
- paramedicine
- dietetics.
Eligibility criteria
To qualify for a scholarship, applicants must:
- identify as Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander
- be enrolled and accepted into one of the above health-related programs.
