Steve Lemlin GAICD

Steve brings more than three decades of senior financial and operational leadership experience across health, professional services and technology businesses in Australia and internationally. His career spans complex, multi-site organisations undergoing significant growth, transformation and regulatory change.

Steve served as Chief Financial Officer of ASX-listed Estia Health, one of Australia’s largest residential aged care providers, from 2017 until his retirement from executive roles in 2023. As CFO, he was responsible for financial reporting and governance, corporate finance, investor relations and capital management. He was part of the leadership team navigating the Royal Commission into Aged Care, the COVID-19 pandemic and significant regulatory and compliance reform.

Prior to Estia Health, Steve held a number of senior executive roles, including Finance Director at private equity-owned Catalyst Education and Chief Operating Officer at digital advertising company The White Agency, part of STW Group, then Australia’s largest listed media and advertising group. His earlier career included leadership positions at MYOB/Solution 6, Reckon and Ramsay Health Care, as well as leading the management buyout, turnaround and successful sale of a corporate training business.

Steve is currently a Board member of Uniting NSW.ACT, one of Australia’s largest community services and aged care organisations, delivering more than $1.4 billion in services annually across aged care, disability, homelessness, early learning and community support. His governance work focuses on financial stewardship, risk and regulatory compliance.

Steve is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW) and holds an Honours degree in Accounting and Finance from the University of Lancaster, UK.
