Patricia Anderson AO

Patricia Anderson AO is a Board Member of the Aspen Medical Foundation and one of Australia’s most respected human rights advocates. An Alyawarre woman from the Northern Territory, she is internationally recognised for her leadership in advancing the health, rights and wellbeing of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.

Patricia has held senior leadership roles across Aboriginal health and community organisations, including as Chair of the Lowitja Institute and the National Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Organisation. She has also served as Co-Chair of the Prime Minister’s Referendum Council, leading nationwide dialogues that culminated in the historic Uluru Statement from the Heart.

With a career spanning community development, policy formation and research ethics, Patricia has been a powerful voice for social justice and improved health outcomes for First Nations communities. She was appointed an Officer of the Order of Australia in 2014 for her distinguished service to the Indigenous community.

Patricia brings deep experience in Indigenous health, governance and advocacy to the Aspen Medical Foundation, helping guide initiatives that strengthen health equity, community partnerships and long-term impact.
