Melissa Broers is the Social Impact Manager at the Aspen Medical Foundation. In this role, she leads the Foundation’s scholarship program and collaborates with the CEO and Board to deliver initiatives that improve access to healthcare education and strengthen workforce capacity in the communities the Foundation supports.

Melissa has been part of Aspen Medical for more than a decade. She previously worked in the Culture and Performance team and played a key operational role during Aspen Medical’s response to the Ebola outbreak in West Africa in 2014–15. These experiences shaped her deep commitment to inclusion, equity and sustainable impact.

At the Foundation, Melissa has played a central role in expanding the scholarship program and shaping how recipients are supported throughout their education and early careers. Alongside her work on the scholarship program, Melissa plays an active role in Aspen Medical’s broader philanthropic and community initiatives, with a focus on inclusion, supporting local organisations and contributing to initiatives that create tangible social outcomes.

Melissa is passionate about creating opportunities for others and brings this commitment to every aspect of her work, engaging with partners, supporting scholarship holders and strengthening the Foundation’s impact on the communities it supports.
