Matt Hughes

Matt is a seasoned executive with extensive operational experience in managing complex health services around the globe and is passionate about developing solutions to improve the lives of others, particularly those in remote or under-resourced regions.

He leads the design, communication and implementation of Aspen Medical’s corporate strategy, ensuring it aligns with corporate governance and its values. Matt also oversees the end-to-end healthcare infrastructure and innovative healthcare solutions business across the Asia-Pacific region, including Fiji, Papua New Guinea and Indonesia.

A strong advocate for shared values and a belief that for-profit companies can have a positive social impact on the communities and the environments in which they operate, Matt is a practised Company Director with many years of experience supporting boards within Australia and abroad.

Matt is studying for a Master of Business Administration and has a Bachelor of Science in Nursing with a Graduate Certificate in Critical Care Nursing. He has also completed the Australian Institute of Company Directors course.
