Aspen Medical is proud to be the major sponsor of the ACT Chief Minister’s Inclusion Awards for the second year in a row.

The awards will be held in the Hotel Realm in Canberra on Thursday 06 December 2023.

These awards are an annual acknowledgement and celebration of the outstanding achievements of people with disability who are leaders in community as well as the businesses, organisations and individuals who have demonstrated their commitment to encourage, welcome and support people with disability in their workplace, business and community.

Aspen Medical Founder and Executive Chair Glenn Keys AO said, “At Aspen Medical we aim to provide opportunities for employment of people with disabilities, and also ensure they are supported where needed.

“This is not a recent phenomenon for us, rather, we have been doing that since the inception of the company. Some of our first employees were people with disabilities because there were they were the right people for the job – they had the skills and experience we needed”.

David Smith, Chair of the ACT Inclusion Council, said,“The Inclusion Awards continue to provide a fantastic platform to showcase the outstanding achievements of people with disability in Canberra. Plus highlighting the excellent work of many businesses and organisations who have considered how they can be more accessible and inclusive. With more than 80 nominations received in 2022, I’m looking forward to seeing who will be nominated this year”.

Supporting people with disabilities is a key pillar of Aspen Medical’s social purpose. In 2015, Glenn Keys was named ACT Australian of the Year for his work in the community advocating for people with disabilities, and in 2017 he was awarded the Order of Australia (AO) for his work in the disability sector.
