The ACT Chapter of the Australian Institute of Project Management (AIPM) chose Aspen Medical's Ebola Response in West Africa as its Project of the Year 2015 at an awards ceremony in Canberra on Friday 4 September.

The company picked up the overall award in addition to the category award for Internationally Funded Humanitarian Aid projects and will now head to the national finals to be held in Hobart, Tasmania, 11 - 14 October.

"This is a great result for us and we're delighted that the team behind the team have been recognised in this way," said Glenn Keys AO, Executive Chairman and Founder of Aspen Medical.

The submission focussed on the outcomes of the project, the customers' expectations and meeting the ten principles on the UN Global Compact. The award was accepted by Leo Cusack, Operations Manager - West Africa.

"Ultimately we delivered the Ebola Response in West Africa under budget and with zero infections amongst our team. The most important outcome was that Australia saved many lives," he said.
