Aspen Medical wins tender to continue providing aeromedical retrieval services for leading companies in Western Australia’s resources sector
Aspen Medical has retained the Western Australia Resources Aero-Medical Evacuation (WARAME) contract for a period of five years with an option to extend for an additional four years following a competitive tender process.
Two Cessna Citation aircraft, each with dual stretcher and critical care capabilities, will facilitate the deployment of a Doctor and Paramedic for 24/7/365 response throughout WA.
“Aspen Medical, together with our aviation partner Avcair, is delighted to once again be selected as the trusted provider of critical care aeromedical retrieval services to the consortium of Oil and Gas companies who administer the Western Australia Resources Aero Medical Evacuation (WARAME) service.
“Based in Karratha, this life-saving capability continues our legacy of service support to WARAME members since 2009 and provides ongoing medical intervention and transport coverage to the member companies’ dependents and the broader community,” said Matt Hughes, Aspen Medical’s Executive General Manager – Australia & APAC.
Aspen Medical provides fully commercialised and assured aero-medical retrieval services across Australia with operations based in Western Australia, South Australia and Queensland. The company has significant international reach for the retrieval of patients who require urgent repatriation for medical treatment in Australia.
