RAWR Clinical Coordinator

Remote Area Health Corps (RAHC), a wholly-owned subsidiary of Aspen Medical focused on providing healthcare in remote Indigenous communities in the Northern Territory, is seeking Clinical Coordinator to support RAHC in delivering a positive placement experience that emphasises service and support to Health Professionals (HP). This is a new role that will support HPs throughout Australia. 

The key responsibilities of the role include: 

  • ensuring the effective and efficient coordination of RAHC's clinical support and that of the clinical team providing this support
  • providing a good understanding of remote Indigenous health throughout Australia
  • maintaining a positive relationship with HPs, health services, and stakeholders with the goal of continuous growth of and improvement in the organisation
  • managing of ongoing professional and career development of HPs including clinical support, education, training, and mentoring.
Experience, qualifications and documentation required: 
  • tertiary qualifications as a Registered Nurse (RN) with a current practising certificate
  • recent clinical experience as an RN working in remote indigenous communities throughout Australia
  • experience in health management roles and preferably experience in management in a remote setting
  • ability to obtain or maintain the currency of assessor qualifications and perform assessments in Basic Life Support (BLS) and any other mandatory competency for HPs in remote health in collaboration with the clinical team and clinical manager
  • current drivers licence and ability to drive a manual 4 Wheel Drive (4WD) vehicle
  • ability to work independently and apply initiative and flexible approaches to deliver a positive placement experience for HPs
  • has excellent oral and written communication skills
  • strong organisational skills, including the ability to prioritise workload and meet deadlines
  • can work in a team environment and able to manage conflicting priorities
  • demonstrated accuracy, quality, and consistency in all aspects of work.
