Description

Aspen Medical is seeking Registered Nurses (RNs) to engage in primary healthcare and complete COVID-19 testing to those in hotel quarantine in Victoria for the Australian Open Tennis Tournament. This project is from mid to end of January.

  • safely performing COVID-19 testing for individuals in hotel quarantine
  • assessing, triaging, and facilitating the primary and mental healthcare needs of the individuals in hotel quarantine including basic first aid treatment
  • assessing and facilitating effective and responsive management of those classified ‘at-risk’ of self- harm or suicide whilst in hotel quarantine
  • ensuring appropriate escalation process for a medical emergency
  • responding to calls in a timely manner and escalate appropriately if required
  • facilitating workforce compliance with documentation, systems, processes, and communication.
Experience, qualifications and documentation required: 
  • relevant basic qualifications according to the Minimum Credentialling Criteria (MCC)
  • experience with COVID-19 testing (PCR Nasopharyngeal swabbing)
  • minimum of one-year full-time postgraduate clinical experience
  • meets Aspen Medical's MCC for Registered Nurses
  • demonstrated experience in COVID-19 infection prevention and control environments.

Minimum Credentialing Criteria:

  • Bachelor of Nursing, or equivalent
  • Current unrestricted registration as a Registered Nurse with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
  • Evidence of completion of 20 hours of Continuous Professional Development within the past 12 months (compliant with the requirements of the Australian Health Practitioner Regulatory Authority (AHPRA).
  • Current CV
  • Two clinical references from current and/or recent referees who can attest to the applicant’s recent experience and ability. At least one of these refences must be from a direct supervisor or Nurse Unit Manager (NUM).
