Part Time - Enrolled Nurse - Melaleuca Remand and Reintegration Facility

Description

The Enrolled Nurse will be required to provide contemporary and appropriate primary health care services to the dependant female population within the Melaleuca Remand and Reintegration Facility (MRRF)

The successful candidate key responsibilities will include:

  • working collaboratively with the Health Centre Manager (HCM), Registered Nurses and Medical Officers
  • providing the appropriate support and guidance in relation to all healthcare matters, contributing to the improvement of overall health outcomes of the recipients.
  • assisting in facilitate with the HCM the organisation and administration of the Pharmacy.
Experience, qualifications and documentation required: 

Essential

  • Diploma of Nursing or equivalent
  • Current unrestricted registration as an EEN with AHPRA
  • Demonstrated experience commensurate with a role in any of the following clinical settings: Primary
  • Health Care, Emergency Care, Mental Health, and/or Alcohol Tobacco and Other Drugs Services.
  • Demonstrated recent clinical practice in one or more of the above settings in the past 12 months.
  • Experience working in a multi-disciplinary and team environment, demonstrating initiative and
  • Flexibility in a clinical environment subject to change.
  • Eligible to obtain relevant security/vetting clearances.

Desired

  • Demonstrated IT literacy including experience using a range of IT and clinical management systems.
  • An understanding of contemporary health issues, including the importance of responsiveness,
  • accessibility, accountability and advocacy and open disclosure in service delivery.
  • Demonstrated experience in the management of pharmaceutical\consumable stock control
  • High level interpersonal and communications skills.
  • Previous experience in delivering health care and or administration in the correctiona environment.
  • Eligible to obtain and maintain relevant security/vetting clearances.
