Multi-site delivery of healthcare to over 8,500 workers in Queensland's Oil & Gas sector
Australia-Pacific Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) Project in Queensland
Origin, as part of the Australia-Pacific Liquefied Natural Gas (APLNG) joint venture with ConocoPhillips and Sinopec, is working to develop one of Australia's largest coal seam gas (CSG) to liquefied natural gas (LNG) projects in Queensland. APLNG holds Australia's largest CSG reserves and is the leading producer of CSG in Australia. The APLNG project will transport CSG from central south west Queensland via a new 530km pipeline to a two-train LNG facility on Curtis Island, near Gladstone.
Origin engaged Aspen Medical to provide comprehensive Field Medical Services to the APLNG project and existing Origin CSG operations sites. With the number of people engaged on the upstream components of the APLNG project expected to peak at 8,500, the Field Medical Services provide medical care, proactive health programs and a first line emergency response as required.
Field Medical Services provided by us include medical centres at the Condabri and Reedy Creek worker sites, and satellite paramedic facilities at Condabri, Orana, Talinga, Reedy Creek, Combabula, Spring Gully and Taloona.
The medical centres are permanently staffed by doctors, occupational nurses and administration staff while the satellite centres have highly-trained paramedics on 24 hour call. The medical centres feature pharmaceutical prescription services, state-of-the-art e-medicine video links to health specialists and electronic medical record management systems.
